Client Testimonials

Don’t take our word for it – here’s what our clients say:

-Jake K

Shanthi and her staff are some of the best people you will ever find to take care of and train your dog. It’s especially great to know that while you’re at work, you can rest easy knowing these folks are taking the same amount of care with your pup(s) as they would their own.

-Devon W.

My family and our dog Stu love love love Shanthi and the school for dogs! She is very knowledgeable and passionate about the work she does, and it shows in the results.

Melissa A.

SIMPLY THE BEST! Shanthi was a life saver after the pup we rescued was a little more than expected. The pup and I needed to learn to communicate effectively and Shanthi was able to guide us through this process.

Adam S.

Shanthi is great. Very friendly and personable. Helped our reactive dog who is afraid of bicycles and strangers. She observed our dog and created customized solutions. We’ve made a lot of progress and she gives you lots of tools to use and apply depending on your dog’s personality.

dO YOU USE SHOCK COLLARS?

No. Our trainers are committed to force free techniques. It is our experience that dogs learn skills quickly with positive reinforcement techniques. We successfully utilize science based training techniques without the use of harsh corrections from shock or pinch collars that can damage the relationship between dog and owner.

whAT SKILLS WILL MY DOG LEARN?

Our curriculum is designed to follow the American Kennel Clubs’ Family Dog program.  Sit, Down, Come, Leave it, Leash Skills and Stay are the foundation for a well mannered dog. We guide clients through these skills in a variety of ways that allows them to navigate any environment with their dog.

WHEN DO GROUP CLASSES START?

Group classes begin every month.  Our fun and fast paced courses are designed to help you achieve your training goals as quickly as possible.  From Puppy class to Life Skill or Fun electives like Urban Agility, Tricks and Rally for Relationships,  we offer classes for all ages and skills.

How much do classes cost?

Our four week courses are $200.00

How much is Day-School?

Day-School is $50/day. We ask that students attend day-school a minimum of 2x per week to help their retention of skills. We offer discounts on monthly tuition.

What vaccinations does my dog need?

Rabies, DHLLP and Bordatella every 6 months.

HOW OLD DOES MY DOG NEED TO BE TO ENROLL?

The health and wellbeing of your puppy is always our first priority.  If your puppy is not fully vaccinated, we encourage you to look into our Puppy Socialization Class. That four week course is designed to help owners navigate the cute but frustrating puppy months with a variety of skills.  We fully sanitize the facility before puppies enter for their classes.  If your dog is fully vaccinated, they’re welcome to enrol in any of our other services.

mY DOG ISN’T FIXED.  cAN THEY STILL COME TO SCHOOL?

We require all dogs be spayed or neutered by the time they reach 1 year. While we strive to keep all dogs playing with their friends, we find that as male dogs mature (approximately 6-10 months) they struggle in play groups. Females in Heat are not allowed in play group.
